BOOK: "The Female Physique Athlete - A History Through 1983" WPW published this book in 1984, featuring the history of competitive women's bodybuilding from its start in 1977 through 1983. The 258 page book features many essays by Dr. Al Thomas, then an alphabetical listing of the 400+ top women in the sport during that time, with a photo and contest history for each. Also featured is our 'Hall of Fame', featuring full page color photos of the 20 best/most influential women of that era, including: Kay Baxter, Stacey Bentley, Lori Bowen, Laura Combes, Lynn Conkwright, Deborah Diana, Carla Dunlap, Lisa Elliott, Kike Elomaa, Georgia Fudge, Cammie Lusko, Lisa Lyon, Rachel McLish, Stella Martinez, "Pillow", Mary Roberts, Claudia Wilbourn, Dinah Anderson, Lynne Pirie and Susan Roberts. Contrary to what you may have read in blogs, the book is not 'rare' yet, and does not cost hundreds of dollars, but we only have a couple hundred left in stock. This book can now also be read online as a download.
